About
A small company that researches, designs and builds its own software.
MarkR Management Inc. is based in British Columbia and run by its two founders. Everything on this site was researched, designed, engineered and is operated by us.
How MarkR got here
MarkR began as advisory work done by hand. The same expensive problems kept appearing in different companies, and each time the answer had to be rebuilt from scratch for one client, then left behind when the engagement ended.
Judgment delivered by the hour is hard to protect and harder to scale. At some point the sensible move was to stop solving the same problem repeatedly and build the system that solves it once, for everyone who has it.
That is what MarkR does now. We are a software company. We research a market until the real constraint is clear, design the system around it, build it with our own developers, patent the method where it is original, and run it in production.
Three products are live: DentistOpFlow in dental practice economics, BGR in board governance, and The 3A Toolkit in mental health and learning. Three industries with nothing in common, built by one team, using one method.
The founders
The range of the portfolio comes from the range between the two of us: enterprise finance and governance on one side, clinical practice and learning science on the other. Both sides hold the same line on what counts as evidence before something ships.
Raman Kapil
Co-founder. Product design, finance and governance software.
Thirty years as a CFO, President and CEO across capital-intensive industry and technology. He ran the ERP, MRP and cost systems, closed the books, carried the P&L, negotiated with lenders, and has spent twenty years in the boardroom as a Chartered Director.
That experience is the specification behind two MarkR products. DentistOpFlow exists because a cost accountant knows that a fee set against a regional average and a fee set against loaded cost are different numbers, and that only one of them is real. BGR exists because a director who has received a 300-page package on a Friday knows exactly what a board paper fails to do.
In both cases he specified the data model and the engine, then worked with MarkR’s developers to build something that holds up in a working business rather than in a demo.

Co-founder. Clinical research, wellbeing and education software.
A clinician and researcher whose doctoral work examined stress, mental health and academic success. That research was recognized with the BCACC Distinguished Professional Contribution to Applied Research Award and the CCPA Doctoral Dissertation Award.
In practice she works with children, youth and adults on trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationships and parenting, using EMDR and Deep Brain Reorienting, with a neurodiversity-affirming approach to ADHD. As an EMDR Consultant she is qualified to consult to other EMDR clinicians, and as an Approved Clinical Supervisor she supervises other counsellors. She also runs workshops on trauma recovery, stress and flourishing for students, parents and educators.
The 3A Toolkit is her method, written down. It carries twelve years of use in schools, one-on-one therapy and group clinics into software that a family or a school can work through without a waitlist. She is the reason a MarkR product in a health or education setting is held to a research standard rather than a wellness one.

What we have put on the record.
Both product lines are built on published work: analysis on the finance and governance side, peer-recognized research and workbooks on the clinical side.
